Umbrella Ella Ella

So usually on Facebook the "News Feed" tells you who , between your friends, has written on each others wall. I noticed that my friend Carrie had written on Roxy's wall, but I don't know a Roxy. I had to do some major Facebook stalking to figure out who Roxy was. I figured out that it was this girl Brittany that I went to high school with.

I haven't talked to her in a while but we were pretty good friends at one time, so I wrote on her page asking her why her name was now Roxy. This is what she wrote back:

"Hello! Hello! Well here is the thing! Once I moved a couple of months ago I totally decided to change my name cuz I was sick of my old name. haha So my name is now Roxy." -Roxy

I just don't understand, if you were gonna change your name why would you change it to Roxy? That is a total stripper's name, in my opinion.

Now this made me think, what would I change my name to? Well, I looked up the list of the most popular girl's names of 2007 and #16 was Ella. Out of all the names on the list Ella and Tilly were my favorites. I decided Ella was better because it really is related to my name.

I'm not going to change my name completely but for now on I just want to go by Ella. So please, take my wishes into consideration next time you see me and say, "What's up Ella?" or "Hey Ella!"

So here I go, signing off as Ella!! Bye!

Quote of the Week.

So one thing that most people know about my family is that we are pretty weird. Sean is the king of saying/doing/thinking of weird things. Lisa, every once in a while, says some pretty funny things, though she doesn't usually mean to. Derek is always saying funny things, usually they consist of making fun of Lisa or myself. Nat and Joe are just always really funny, oh and Chels too. Even Dad and Michael have been known to say a few funny things here and there. I'm funny too, but this is all about my mom and a funny comment that she made today. This isn't really that great of a subject, but it was pretty funny.

So tonight, after dinner, my mom, dad and I were sitting at the table talking about sports and us (kids) playing sports. We talked about how volleyball is better than lacrosse and how Derek should have played basketball and how Sean want
s to play tennis. The conversation led to jump roping and how I was always so good at it in my elementary school gym class. My mom then decided to tell me about a game that she played in school. She started off by saying:

"When I was in elementary school they would have us do dances with long poles."

Right when I heard this I was completely freaked out because, of course, the first thing that comes to mind is pole dancing. So I'm wondering where in the world this story is going. Turns out they use to do these dances that required them to dance/jump over long poles that were
on the ground.

So this whole incident made me think about all the things that used to be allowed at schools that are no longer allowed in schools. Not that pole dancing was really allowed, but just think of all the things that were.

Kids used to be able to do rope climbing, which is too dangerous for kids now and wear colored gloves because they weren't gang signs then. I just think it's sad what this world has turned into. If I need to sit down I want to be able to sit on the benches outside of the gym and not get yelled at. And if I want to park at the school, I don't want to have to pay $50 for a flippin' parking pass.

Well this entry turned from one subject to another quickly but it is definitely just expressing my feelings at the time.

Bloggalicious Definition

Well, this a little weird for me to be doing this. I've never blogged before, so I don't really know what I'm doing. I decided that it probably be a good idea to first figure out what a blog is really supposed to be, I don't want to disappoint any of my readers. So what is the definition of a blog? Blog: a Web site on which an individual or group of users produces an ongoing narrative.

That sounds easy, but for some re
ason I just don't think I'll be very good at this. I decided to write this blog because my brother-in-law told me it would be fun. We'll see. I'll have to think of some interesting topics to write about.

I guess, I will first write abo
ut why the name of my blog is "Bubbly".

I love bubbles or anything that resembles a bubble. They are round and cute and fun to look at. I guess my sisters thought that my toes met this same criteria. They always said that I had bubbly toes. I have been teased by my family for my chubby, round toes for a good p
art of my life. Now, don't get me wrong, my toes are cute (at least I think so),they are just little balls of fun connected to my feet! My bubbly toes are nothing to be ashamed of, I have gotten lots of compliments. I remember one of the first things Janae and Betsy (two friends of mine) ever said to me was that I had cute toes. I know, they're precious.

My sisters also told me that I had bubbly eyes. I'm not gonna lie, my eyes are really big but I wouldn't say that they are bubbles. They are just large and beautiful.

So, because my sisters have alw
ays said this, whenever I hear that song by Jack Johnson called "Bubble Toes" I think of myself. " It's as simple as something that nobody knows that her eyes are as big as her bubbly toes." Yep, it's definitely about me. My sister, Natalie, said that when she hears the song "Bubbly" by Colby Caillat she thinks of me. "'Cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tinglies in a silly place it starts in my toes and I crinkle my nose."

Anyway, so I just thought it wa
s appropriate that I name my blog, about me, "Bubbly". It's the perfect word to describe me!! I hope you all enjoy it. I'm not funny or anything, maybe just a little into myself.

You judge, do I have bubbly to
es?

How about bubbly eyes?
